The Verdant Doctrine establishes the constitutional protection afforded to vegan breakfast provisions within the Greggs Friday Breakfast Club.
It exists to ensure that designated vegan provisions are treated with the appropriate respect and that their integrity is protected under the authority of the High Pastry Court.

The Keeper of the Vegan Sausage Roll is the ceremonial office entrusted with defending the integrity of the Club’s vegan provisions.
The officeholder is responsible for:
- Defending the integrity of designated vegan provisions
- Upholding the Verdant Doctrine
- Bringing significant breaches or disputes before the High Pastry Court where appropriate
- Ensuring that the sanctity of the vegan sausage roll remains recognised within Club tradition
