The Legislative Record of the High Pastry Court
The Constitution of the Greggs Friday Breakfast Club is the supreme governing document of the Club.
From time to time, circumstances may arise which require the Constitution to be clarified, refined, or amended. This page records all formal proposals to alter the Constitution and provides the permanent legislative history of those changes.
A proposal appearing on this page does not, by itself, constitute constitutional law. An amendment becomes binding only once the procedure prescribed by Article XII — Amendments & Constitutional Change has been completed.
⚖️ How Constitutional Amendments Work
Constitutional amendments are deliberately subject to a formal process.
A proposed amendment must:
- Be formally submitted for consideration;
- Identify the constitutional provision affected;
- Set out the proposed change and its purpose;
- Be considered by the Permanent Members in accordance with Article XII;
- Receive the required level of approval;
- Be formally recognised and incorporated into the Constitutional Record.
Until these requirements have been satisfied, the existing Constitution remains fully in force.
The Court may therefore consider, interpret and discuss a proposed amendment without that proposal altering the law currently governing the Club.

🟢 Adopted Amendments
No amendments are currently recorded in this section.
Once an amendment has completed the constitutional process and received formal recognition, it will be moved here and permanently retained as part of the legislative history of the Club.
🔴 Rejected Proposals
No rejected constitutional amendments are currently recorded.
Proposals which fail to receive the required approval will nevertheless be preserved here as part of the historical record of constitutional development.
⚪ Withdrawn Proposals
No withdrawn constitutional amendments are currently recorded.
A formally submitted proposal that is subsequently withdrawn will remain part of the historical record, with the circumstances of its withdrawal recorded where appropriate.
📜 The Constitutional Record
The High Pastry Court maintains this register to ensure that the development of the Constitution remains transparent and traceable.
Each amendment is assigned a unique reference beginning with CA (Constitutional Amendment), followed by a sequential number.
The status of each proposal will be updated as it progresses through the constitutional process:
🟡 Proposed → 🟢 Adopted
or, where applicable:
🟡 Proposed → 🔴 Rejected
🟡 Proposed → ⚪ Withdrawn
The current Constitution remains the definitive statement of the law of the Greggs Friday Breakfast Club. This register records the journey by which that Constitution has developed.
“The Constitution may be amended, but never casually; for even the smallest crumb of law deserves a proper record.”
Court Notice
This register concerns constitutional legislation, not judicial case law.
Judgments and precedents of the High Pastry Court are recorded separately in the Case Law & Rulings archive.
Constitutional proposals arising from a case may be referenced alongside that case, but shall remain separate from the judicial judgment itself.
