CA-001 — Recognised Guest of Honour Attendance Provision

Date Proposed: 29 August 2026
Proposed By: The Chronomancher of the Morning Munch
Constitutional Office: Temporal Enforcer of the Morning Munch
Affected Provision: Article XI — Guest Attendance
Status: 🟡 Proposed — Awaiting Approval

Purpose

To establish a standing attendance provision for individuals who have previously been formally recognised as Guests of Honour.

The proposal seeks to distinguish between a first-time guest, whose attendance requires the ordinary authorisation process, and an individual who has already been formally admitted and recorded in the Guest of Honour Registrar.

Proposed Provision

Under the proposed amendment, a previously recorded Guest of Honour would be permitted to attend a Friday Breakfast Club meeting upon the invitation of any Permanent Member.

Such an invitation would remain valid unless another Permanent Member objects to the guest’s attendance.

Where an objection is raised, the invitation would cease to be authorised unless the matter is subsequently approved or resolved in accordance with the Constitution.

Effect on Membership

The proposed amendment would not grant Guest of Honour status holders:

  • Permanent Membership;
  • Prospective Membership;
  • Voting rights;
  • Pastry Points;
  • Constitutional office;
  • Any other rights or privileges reserved for members.

A Guest of Honour would remain a non-member.

Registrar Requirement

Eligibility under the proposed provision would depend upon the individual being formally recorded in the Guest of Honour Registrar.

The Registrar would therefore serve as the authoritative record of those individuals who have previously received Guest of Honour recognition.

Current Position

CA-001 has been formally proposed but has not yet been adopted.

The existing Constitution therefore remains in force without alteration.
